about

Piano Works vol.1 is a collection of piano compositions created over the last 50 years. When I first began playing piano I made a commitment that if I could express myself through composing and performing, I would devote my music to helping others as it helped me. I experienced a fair share of trauma over the years, much of it in childhood, and music was the one anchor to my sanity. Many of the pieces in this collection are memorial pieces to friends who are no longer of this world. Others remember significant events in life. Each one is a part of the soundtrack of my life. Although they are all my own compositions, I cannot help but honour some of my favourite composers including Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, and Frederic Chopin among others. The tone of these pieces are often portrayed as Nocturnes, and are of a quiet, somber nature. These pieces were recorded on many different instruments so there is a variety of timbres, and tone colouring throughout.
